Our friends at Man Group Plc got their hands dirty and volunteered their support to give the garden at one of our domestic violence refuges a makeover. 11 of their staff came and worked hard doing all manner of jobs from weeding, painting, cutting trees down and building a bbq and bench seating area.
We’re extremely grateful for all their hard work making the outdoor space a much nicer area for families to spend time and for the children to play.
Please see below for some pictures of them hard at work:

Housing for Women has been recently working with the charity Habitat for Humanity. Their aims are to turn empty properties into homes which are then occupied by families in need, referred either from local boroughs or housing associations.
They are currently working on renovating a large house in South London which is being turned into a one bedroom and a three bedroom flat, providing move-on accommodation for women and their children from our supported projects.

Get fit, have fun and raise money for a fantastic cause!
On Saturday 6th October, a group of dedicated Housing for Women supporters will run 10k with all proceeds will going towards supporting vulnerable women and their children in London. Are you up for the challenge too?
The 10k run takes place around Greenwich Royal Park, a beautiful route featuring some of London’s most iconic scenery.
All the vital funds raised will go towards the fantastic services we provide; our Re-Place Project for trafficked women, Re-Unite Project for ex-offenders, the Older-Women’s Co-Housing Group, domestic violence services, Back to Work project and much more.
Registration fee is just £14, and our sponsorship target is £150 each. If just twenty people managed this, we would raise an amazing £3,000! And because we’re so grateful for all those supporting Housing for Women, for every competitor who reaches the £150 target, we can refund your initial registration fee so you don’t spend a penny.
Sign-up and further information can be found here.
