Residents of Chiddingfold, Surrey, saw summer out in style when the stunning property of Tugley Farm opened its gates for a one-day fundraising event. Guests were welcomed in to the property for cream teas and entertainment, raising over £2,000 for Housing for Women.
It was over the recent August Bank Holiday weekend that people were given the opportunity to access the stunning grounds of Tugley farm. The immaculate gardens were filled with beautifully laid tables, laden with old style tea sets, scones, home-made jams and clotted cream. The atmosphere was set by the sounds of a concert pianist playing in the background, as well as a Wimbledon style tennis singles match, a raffle, and even some short speeches.
The fundraising day was organised by Friends of Housing for Women, a group established in 2014 by supporters of Housing for Women. Their efforts raised over £2,000 for Housing for Women and will contribute substantially to the work this independent organization does in supporting women in London and challenging the inequalities that they face.
A special thank you to those who donated their time and money towards the event, thus helping Housing for Women further their aims.
