Leave a lasting legacy for women

By leaving a will a gift in your will, you will help ensure that victims of domestic violence and human trafficking receive the support they desperately need to overcome trauma and rebuild their lives.

Housing for Women has been at the forefront of meeting the needs of vulnerable women in London since 1935. From our beginning as a ‘job centre’ to our current services helping women affected by violence, we have worked tirelessly to empower women and challenge gender inequality.

Women face different challenges today and our work has evolved to meet women’s changing needs. By leaving a gift in your will, you can help ensure women live free from violence in years to come.

Housing for Women's first Property....a lasting legacy.

Housing for Women relies on charitable donations to deliver life-changing services to women affected by domestic violence, victims of trafficking and vulnerable ex-offenders. Gifts in will, whatever the size, help us plan for the future and support women to achieve their full potential, no matter what barriers stand in their way.

An example of how a legacy has helped us to deliver our services has been a gift we received which was to be used to support the work of our older tenants. From this, we now have a dedicated Older Tenants officer and support over 200 older women, ensuring that they can live independently and enjoy life in their older age. There is no greater example as to the difference a gift left in your will can make.

Thank you very much if you have left a gift to Housing for Women in your will or are considering doing so. By letting us know your intentions we are able to thank you and keep you updated with the progress of our work.
