Back to Work
Housing for Women know it can be hard to get the right help when you want to find a job: someone who can take you through the process step by step and be there to support you all of the way. For this reason, we offer and support services in RBKC and across South London. Read on for more detailed information.
We participate in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) Pathways to Work Charter. The project aims to help tenants who are likely to be affected by the forthcoming benefit changes, putting tenants in touch with local agencies offering advice, work and training opportunities. As a partner in the initiative Housing for Women will be able to refer residents living in RBKC to these opportunities, as well as to other related services.
Our Back to Work project provides friendly, personal, one to one help with getting back to work. We offer help with job search, CV and interview preparation. If you’d like to find out about the right job or course for you, or just to find out what opportunities you can access, call Charlene Hallal on 020 7361 2957. Please note this scheme is only open to tenants living in the RBKC borough. You can also find out more information about the scheme by visiting the RBKC training, skills and jobs page.
We’re also involved in a similar SoLFed run project to help south London tenants. It’s open to all Housing for Women tenants and family members who are unemployed or looking to change employment. Project Worker, Althea Nesty, is based at our Brixton office one day each week and you can contact her on 07508 877 047.
