Domestic Violence Services

teddyDomestic Violence Services

Domestic violence and abuse damages and disrupts the lives of thousands of women and their children. We provide immediate support and refuge for women and their children in several sites across South East and West London. Our refuges provide safe accommodation for 48 women and 75 children each year and support to a further 50 women who choose to stay in their homes. In our refuges, we are able to offer emotional and practical support so that the victims of violence can start to rebuild their lives. We also provide range of support from counselling to general benefits advice and practical assistance. When a woman is ready to move on, we help her to find a home and as often as we can, we move tenants on into our own property long-term.

We also provide a telephone helpline and visiting support to women in South East London who wish to remain in their homes. Our resettlement and outreach support service provides free, confidential, one to one support and advice for women and children living in violent situations who do not want to leave their family home. We also work closely with a range of London-wide Women’s Aid agencies, providing nominations and other support services.

For referrals to any of the above services, any questions you may have and for referral to refuge accommodation and services throughout the United Kingdom, please ring our Referral & Information Line 020 8317 8273.
