Liz Clarson MediumChief Executive - Elizabeth Clarson BA (Hons) FCIH

Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, she has over thirty years experience in all aspects of social housing both with local authority and housing associations. She has served on a number of boards in third sector organisations. She is a member of the National Housing Federation Regional Committee and is Chair of g320, representing smaller housing associations in London.

Responsibilities: Overall strategic planning; Co-ordination and line management of senior staff; Overall development of policy and practice; Ultimate management responsibility for organisation; Responsibility for personnel function.

 

Caroline AllenDirector of Finance - Caroline Allen MA (Hons) CA

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Glasgow in 1988.  Following this she was employed as a financial accountant at the University of Edinburgh and was promoted to post of Assistant Director of Finance in 1992.  Joined Housing for Women in 1994 as Finance Manager.

Responsibilities: Financial management strategy within Housing for Women; ensuring efficient operational financial systems and controls are in place and are delivered; Management of Finance, Administration and IT Departments.

 

Meera BediDirector of Development and New Initiatives - Meera Bedi BA (Hons)

Has over fifteen years experience in housing development with the last twelve at a senior level. Meera has successfully managed a diverse range of projects ranging in scale from one-off refurbishments, to multi-million pound regeneration schemes. Meera is currently a member of the London Housing Federation Development Committee; chairs LewHag (Lewisham Housing Association Liaison forum); and chairs the South East London Housing Partnership.  She has served on a number of boards of associations’ providing supported housing.

Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the development programme and its delivery; in addition, seeking new opportunities for furthering Housing for Women’s objectives and management of fundraising.

 

Judith ChambersDirector of Housing Services - Judith Chambers BA (Hons) Housing, CIH.

Over twenty years senior housing management experience in provision and management of general family housing, special needs and hostel provision; previously employed as Housing Manager with a Housing Association providing supported housing;  Particular expertise in hostel management.

Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the housing services; management Housing Management Department.

 

Chris LawalDirector of Property Services - Chris Lawal BSc MCIOB MRICS

Holds a degree in Building; is a full corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He has nearly twenty years experience in maintenance with the last twelve years spent managing repairs and maintenance in public sector housing.

Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for property strategy and delivery of maintenance and major repair functions; Management of Maintenance Department.

 

Zaiba QureshiDirector of Supported Housing - Zaiba Qureshi

Over 18 years’ experience in delivering and developing services in a supported setting and working with an extensive list of client groups including those with mental health, learning and physical disabilities, substance misuse, domestic violence, HIV/Aids, older people and young mother and child services. Over 10 years’ management experience including 5 years at a senior level heading up supported housing departments.

Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for supported housing services and projects; line management of refuge and project managers; management of volunteer programme
