An introduction to the Friends
The Friends were established in 2014 to commemorate 80 years of Housing for Women. The Friends are drawn from people who have had a close association with Housing for Women in different ways and want to find a way to maintain that link or from people who hear about us and want to support our work. It is an informal group headed by a Chair – currently Marie-Louise Clayton.
The Friends currently have over 20 members and meet every quarter. Membership is open to anyone, but requires an annual contribution of £20. Friends are welcomed and encouraged to get directly involved where they have an interest or expertise. Just supporting financially is ok too!
We are involved with Housing for Women in a variety of ways such as mentoring, advice, networking and, of course, fundraising for those of our residents in particular need. This year we have enjoyed a Summer picnic, a Choral concert, a Cream Tea party, cheese and wine with the Housing for Women Executive team and an Arbonne Christmas Gifts event. These events raised £3,800, an invaluable donation for the women helped by Housing for Women.
If you would like more information on the Friends of Housing for Women then please contact the current Chair, Marie-Louise Clayton, by emailing email@example.com
If you do not feel you are able to support us as a Friend at this time but would like to help then please donate through the Housing for Women Virgin Giving site using a credit/debit card or Paypal. If you can leave your details for the Friends of Housing for Women then we would like to keep in touch with you.
