We are pleased to update you that issues with heating and hot water at the Arches should now be resolved. Our Biomass contractors attended site on Monday 14th January to fit further new parts. Additionally, our gas contractors attended along with Housing for Women managers and ensured consistent and optimum gas boiler performance from approximately 2.30 pm yesterday.
Engineers remained onsite after 5 pm to ensure the boilers continued to perform and recorded satisfactory performance before leaving.
Residents that we spoke to within the Arches yesterday confirmed that they were now receiving heat and hot water prior to staff and engineers leaving the site. Housing for Women tested to ensure the furthest points from the boiler were experiencing an increase in temperatures and this was confirmed.
We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely and ensure that the main system continues to perform. Staff will be checking in with residents today to monitor this and ensure individual systems are working correctly within all homes.
