Bob has worked in social housing repairs and asset management for over 40 years. The vast majority of his career was with Haringey Council, the latter part of which was with Homes for Haringey the arm’s length management company (ALMO) set up in 2006 to manage the Council owned stock. He started with Haringey straight from school as a general trainee in 1971 and covered most roles in the repairs, maintenance and asset management areas. When he left in 2010 he was Executive Director of Repairs with, amongst other things, responsibility for a direct labour force of around 250.
After that, he spent 5 years working at Origin Housing as Assistant Director, Property Services leaving there in 2016.
For the last 3 years, prior to joining Housing for Women, Bob was working as Assistant Director of Social Housing at Gilmartins Ltd who are a medium sized building contractor based in Luton. This included mobilising new contracts for housing associations including; ARHAG, Industrial Dwellings Society, Crown Simmons, Croydon Churches & Red Kite.
