Referral and Advice Worker - Domestic Violence Service - 30 hours per week (2pm until 8pm Monday to Friday) - FTC March 2019 -  Starting from £23,818 - Based in Greenwich

Housing for Women is a London based Charity and Housing Association providing over 900 homes for women and their families as well housing and specialist support for women who are escaping domestic abuse, been trafficked or released from prison.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Deliver high quality and in-depth telephone and face-to-face needs and risk assessments in order to place women and children escaping DVA in the most appropriate service for their needs. 
  • Advise women and professionals via telephone on options for staying safe and independent or to access refuge accommodation.
  • Work with the RB Greenwich’s Housing Options Team to assess the suitability of referrals for the borough’s Sanctuary scheme and liaise with the appropriate RBG teams to install required security/devices. 
  • The role will also provide cover for Support Workers across the DVA services.
