Senior Support Worker - ReConnect Service - 22.5 hours per week -  FTC August 2018-  Starting from £25,740 - Based in Lewisham

Housing for Women is a London based Charity and Housing Association providing over 900 homes for women and their families as well housing and specialist support for women who are escaping domestic abuse, been trafficked or released from prison.

As a Senior Support Worker you will:

  • Provide specialist person centred support services to women with substance misuse issues and or mental health issues on release from prison. Creating a safe and empowering environment for women to develop coping strategies, life skills and resilience to live independently.
  • Ensure the effective operation of Housing for Women ReConnect project and be responsible, in conjunction with other worker(s), for the day to day running of the hostel.
  • Deliver quality support services for Housing for Women within the standards and contract assessment and monitoring framework set out by the Big Lottery Fund.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the team’s aims and objectives and operational policies and procedures in such a way that they contribute to the mission of Housing for Women and deliver on business plan objectives.
