Housing for Women CEO to speak about housing for women leaving prison

Published 21 January 2025

Today, Housing for Women’s Chief Executive Officer Zaiba Qureshi is speaking at the London Assembly Housing Committee. The discussion focuses on housing support for women leaving prison and returning to live in London.

This important meeting explores how organisations, including the London Probation Service, local authorities, housing associations, and the voluntary sector, support women before and after their release from custody. It will also consider the role of the Mayor of London in providing housing support for women leaving prison and their families and identify ways to improve outcomes.

At Housing for Women, we are proud to contribute to this vital conversation. Through our ReConnect+ service, we provide safe, supported housing for women overcoming substance misuse and managing complex needs after leaving prison. This tailored approach helps women access essential services, develop independent living skills, and create a stable foundation for rebuilding their lives.
