How we help

For over 40 years, Housing for Women has been supporting women and children across London escaping domestic violence and abuse. We provide practical and emotional support to survivors. We empower women to overcome trauma, rebuild their lives and regain their independence. We are there for survivors, delivering a tailored support plan to meet the need of each individual. Our services include:

Refuges - Providing safe temporary accommodation for women and their children with on-site support

Referral and Advice Line - We run a confidential domestic abuse helpline providing information to support survivors and professionals across London. Call 020 8317 8273 for our Greenwich helpline, or 020 4513 9678 for our Ealing service.

Floating Support Service - For women who live in their own homes or in temporary accommodation

Sanctuary Scheme - We coordinate referrals for this scheme in Greenwich which provides extra security to ensure women can live safely in their own homes

Freedom Programme - This group workshop focuses on domestic abuse awareness and self-esteem. The programme helps women to deconstruct the behavioural patterns of their abusers and recognise the early signs of abusive behaviour so that the cycle of abuse can be broken once and for all
