Join Us for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
Today is the start of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, running from 25 November to 10 December. This international campaign aims to end violence against women and girls.
Violence against women and girls is a major human rights issue. The United Nations estimates that 736 million women—almost one in three—experience physical or sexual violence. This includes intimate partner violence, non-partner sexual violence, or both. In recent years, violence has surged in workplaces and online.
At Housing for Women, we empower women and fight against inequality every day. We support some of the most vulnerable groups in the UK, including survivors of abuse, trafficked women, and women leaving prison.
That's why we stand behind this year's campaign. Over the next few weeks, we’ll highlight on our social media channels specialist services and initiatives that align with our mission.
