Rent charges 2021/22 – Rebate and Adjustment
Unfortunately, when setting our rent levels for assured and fair rent tenants for the current financial year (October 2021 – September 2022), we did not apply the correct percentage increase to the rent charge. As a result, our rent increase was not in line with the Regulator’s Rent Standard. The Rent Standard sets the limit for annual rent increases for social landlords like Housing for Women.
We are very sorry for this error, and we also want to assure you that we have taken steps to put this right.
If you were affected, you should receive a letter setting out the details of your rebate for the rent we overcharged from October 2021 to March 2022. In addition, your rent charge should now have been adjusted to the correct amount, taking affect from April 2022.
Please be assured that we have put things in place to ensure this won’t happen again and would like to offer everyone affected our sincere apologies for any confusion and inconvenience.
