500 people, 3 distances, one reason – to end homelessness in London.

On the evening of Friday 14th March 2025 we are taking part in the London Walk, organised by our friends the London Homeless Collective. This walk brings charities working in homelessness in the city together to walk as one. Every step powering the journey towards brighter tomorrows.

There are three routes available; a 10K, half marathon and marathon through Central London. Starting and finishing at The Connection St Martin’s in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square. Walking through the night offers an opportunity for reflection on the experience of people who are homeless. Not just people who are forced to sleep on the streets but those who walk through the night, travel on night buses or access 24 hour retail sites in order to stay awake and stay safe. In particular young people, trans people and women, who are all especially vulnerable to violence and exploitation.

Housing for Women believes that everyone has a right to affordable housing regardless of circumstance. Women’s lower average incomes, additional caring responsibilities and greater experience of domestic abuse and sexual violence can have a significant impact on their ability to find and keep suitable housing. Since 1934, we have been working to build a more equal society for women, a world where everyone has a safe roof over their head regardless of circumstance, where violence against women is no longer tolerated.

Places cost £30 and have a minimum sponsorship of £200 (10k), £300 (half marathon) or £400 (marathon).

£300 could pay for a woman fleeing domestic violence to stay in one of our refuges for a week.

Register for your place and help us empower survivors to take control of their lives, live independently and recover from the trauma of their experiences.
