Supporting women who have been trafficked into the UK

SafeSpace provides specialist support for women aged 18 and over who have experienced human trafficking, modern slavery and other forms of exploitation.

We work with women who have been referred through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM). Many have experienced severe trauma, abuse and isolation, and may be at risk of homelessness, poverty or further exploitation.

Women who have escaped trafficking often need more than safety alone. They may need safe accommodation, healthcare, legal advice, emotional support, education and help understanding services in the UK.

Our team provides trauma-informed support designed to help women recover, regain confidence and rebuild their independence. We work alongside each woman to help her access the support she needs and move towards a safer, more secure future.
